Fables
This is the comic that showed me I could like a comic that wasn't all tights and capes. It is an intriguing premise. All the fairy tale characters you know are still alive....living in our world. The comic tells you why they are here and what is going on with them.
It is tangentially similar to the television shows "Grimm" and "Once Upon A Time" but so much more inventive and innovative.
And EVERY cover is a treat.

It's possibly my favorite comic book series...though that's tough to say definitively. I do love anything fairy tale related, and comic book related, so when you put them together...
