This Day In The Future: 7-15-15
I'd wager that this is not an official poster. I can't recall where I found it. However, it reminds me that I need to find a way to convince my wife we want to spend our 15th wedding anniversary at the movies.
Oh, which means today is my 13th wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary, Nan!

Luke's Change: An Inside Job
I am not a conspiracy theorist but I do understand why some people are. From what I understand, this is a parody of a 9/11 documentary. With the exception of a MAJOR mispronunciation, this is so well done!
It made the rounds before the A to Z Challenge....I am not sure where I first saw it...perhaps HERE

E is for The Empire Strikes Back
The Empire Strikes Back is currently #28 on my flickchart list.
Do you remember when you first saw Star Wars? If you are a certain gender and a certain age, it was THE defining movie of your childhood. You were either Luke or Han when you played. You craved everything Star Wars.
Then The Empire Strikes Back came out and it added so many layers. You were blown away. “No....I am your father” rocked your little mind. Yoda letting the audience know “No. There is another” led to rampant speculation for a few years about where the story was going to go next.
This film is the reason I think one should watch the movies in release order...think of how...muted...this film becomes if you have seen the prequels first....

Silly Saturday: July 28, 2012
via Dueling Couches
"Whoever did this should win the Academy Award for Best Film Editing. How long did it take to edit this together? I'd say there are over 400 cuts, and each one is precisely perfect. The maker of this had to find all these clips from 6 very long films. And that includes enduring 2 movies with Hayden Christensen in them.
Well done."

Obi-Wan's True Feelings About Mos Eisley
From Topless Robot: This message, which has not been approved by the Tatooine Tourism Commission, contains Obi-Wan's unedited description of a certain location commonly known as a wretched hive of scum and villainy -- you might want to keep the volume on low if you're at work. Or if you're in a horrible Mos Eisley cantina. (Via Peter Serafinowicz)

T-Shirt Tuesday: July 10, 2012
Today's picture is the first T-Shirt Tuesday picture not actually taken on the day of the posting! Last Saturday night we went with The Armchair Squid, Wikes and their daughter to a local balloon festival.
This stylized "Let the wookie win!" T-Shirt was the first geeky apparel my wife ever bought for me! It is easily 10 years old at this point.
Not the most flattering photo I have ever had taken of me, but Nan did her best....

Star Wars Minimalist Posters by Travis English
Logan has taken to pulling out all of my Star Wars toys and having epic adventures. He puts one of the movies on in the background for inspiration. Today we found out that all 6 movies will be coming out in the theater this year...kinda excited to see them with him on the big screen...
