G is for Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters is currently #11 on my flickchart.

The first straight comedy on the list!  I remember seeing this in the theater when it was released with my family.  It remains a favorite to this day!  I also use it as a generational divide with my teaching partner...he was born the year it came out!

I am such a fan of the alternate fan made posters:

  3. Stone cold classic. Although for anyone who grew up with the cartoon it inspired it's always weird to think the cartoon has nothing to do with Bill Murray and Dan Ackroyd and vice versa. Because the movie just makes it seem like the REAL reason to care about the movie is Bill Murray. For some reason the cartoon didn't.

    1. If I remember properly, Bill Murray didn't do the cartoon....it was the guy who did the Garfield cartoons....who got replaced in the CGI/live action Garfield movie by...Bill Murray!

      "And Lincoln had a secretary...."
