Today is a big day in history....however, continuing last week's "unexpected history lesson" (said with tongue firmly in cheek, I'm guessing, by Tony Laplume, Sith Architect), more presidential marriage information!
On this day in 1919, future president Harry S Truman married Bess Wallace. Longtime sweethearts, the two met in fifth grade but did not marry until they were in their thirties! And like our 33rd president, I lack a full middle name, instead using just a letter with NO punctuation!
I lack a middle name in that configuration. I'm going to go sit in the corner and rethink my life.
ReplyDeleteThe story for me, goes like this: When I was being born, my folks didn't really see eye-to-eye. There was lots of arguing over my name. I needed one to be discharged and apparently a nurse suggested my first name, which both parents liked. They were then asked what about the middle name and the fighting started back up. They both had the same first initial, so they settled on that.
