There are certain 'celebrities' who, while I am not a fan of their specific 'art' I have huge respect for as 'artists' and Timberlake is one of them. He comes across as a very talented, funny and smart individual regardless of my taste in his music.
I agree with you about Timberlake. He doesn't seem to take himself too seriously and always seems to be having fun with stuff like this.
